The creative head of Girisheel (EIDAM) the clothing line. Nitesh Raj is a NIFT Bhubaneswer alumni from fashion design department. During the course of his study he has been involved in handloom and handicrafts to uplift the standards of the artisans. I used to get Inspiration from the most common rituals practiced in India in different forms and beliefs. Like pooja, meditation, silent prayers. My Inspiration for this collection is jhoti-chita(alpana). Alpana patterns are seems to be influenced by Shantinikatani art. The jhoti-chita are not drawn merely with the intention of decoration of the house, but also to established a relationship between the mystical and the material.
